Engineering Basic Instructor – Aircraft Maintenance Training

About the role

The Engineering Basic Instructor will deliver GCAA and EASA approved ab‑initio classroom and practical training for the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) programme. Working within the Emirates Engineering Maintenance Centre, you will help trainees acquire the knowledge and hands‑on skills required for aircraft maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and conduct the CAR 66 Basic AMEL curriculum and related examinations.
• Deliver classroom instruction covering theoretical aspects of aircraft maintenance.
• Lead practical sessions in workshops covering fitting, sheet‑metal work, welding (soldering), composite repair, machining, engine shop, airframe systems and skill shop.
• Monitor trainee progress, discipline, welfare and provide counselling as needed.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Basic Training Manager to secure instructional resources.
• Act as invigilator/examiner and subject‑matter expert for exam development and question‑bank updates.
• Collaborate with overhaul, line and base maintenance departments for trainee postings.
• Analyse post‑course evaluations and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of GCAA CAR 66 and EASA regulations.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance or related technical training is preferred.
