Engineering Manager – Cloud Native & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of cloud‑native, enterprise‑grade microservices. The role is based in Dubai and works in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating closely with product, design, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the development of cloud‑native web applications and microservice architectures.
• Lead end‑to‑end product delivery, ensuring projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Partner with Product Management, Architects, Operations, and Release Management for smooth launches.
• Define technical road‑maps and drive best‑practice coding patterns.
• Foster a culture of high‑quality, maintainable code and continuous improvement.
• Manage and grow the technical talent within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 12‑15 years of relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of software development and 4+ years in an engineering management role.
• Proven experience leading Scrum teams and delivering projects in an Agile environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Microservice architecture, Domain‑Driven Design, RESTful services.
• Java, J2EE, Node.js, Go.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Google Cloud Platform.
• Continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, automated integration tests, continuous delivery.
• Web application development with Java MVC frameworks.
• Mobile development: React Native, Android, iOS.
• Massive‑scale performance and scalability engineering.
• Agile Scrum methodology.
