Engineering Manager – Depot & Maintenance Facilities (Railway Infrastructure)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and engineering of depot and maintenance facilities for a major railway infrastructure project in the United Arab Emirates. The role combines technical leadership with coordination of multidisciplinary teams to deliver approved engineering packages on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering and design of depot and maintenance facilities.
• Oversee design subcontractors and internal engineering activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts and technical interfaces with consortium partners, the Engineer and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely development, review, and submission of design packages for project approvals and construction.
• Identify, manage, and close design deficiencies and technical issues.
• Handle technical comments, engineering queries, and responses to design review feedback.
• Protect key programme milestones, including mock‑up works and subsequent depot activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree or Chartered Engineer status preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience managing engineering or construction works of similar scale.
• Strong experience in multidisciplinary engineering and design management.
• Proven ability to manage design consultants/subcontractors and technical approvals.
• Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership capabilities.
