Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering and maintenance operations of Banyan Tree Dubai, ensuring all building systems operate efficiently and safely to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair and operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevator, fire safety and building automation systems.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards.
• Lead, train and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance staff, manage schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
• Prepare and control the engineering department’s annual budget, monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives.
• Approve and track expenditures for equipment, materials and repairs while maintaining guest experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering teams in a hotel or residential environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and regulatory standards.
• Ability to plan budgets, control costs and drive energy‑saving projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
