Engineering Manager – Offshore Gas Project

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering delivery for the ADNOC Offshore Umm Shaif Gas Cap Phase 1 – Package 2 & 3 project in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee all technical aspects, ensure compliance with standards, and drive cost‑effective design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Lead the Engineering Department and coordinate with the FEED Engineering Contractor.
• Conduct technical reviews of deliverables from consultants and contractors.
• Drive design optimisation and ensure compliance with international codes, HSE guidelines and best practices.
• Oversee Project Risk Management and Management of Change programs.
• Support the Project Quality Assurance Program and mentor junior engineers.
• Guide technical aspects of vendor pre‑qualification, bid evaluation and performance evaluation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in Management (or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in oil & gas engineering management, preferably on offshore projects.
• Proven leadership of large multidisciplinary engineering teams.
