Engineering Manager - Offshore Subsea Project - Pkg 2

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Engineering Manager will lead all engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore projects, ensuring safe, on‑schedule, and cost‑effective delivery in line with specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, telecom, HSE).
• Develop and implement engineering execution plans aligned with project objectives and schedules.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces between EPC contractors, ADNOC Offshore, PMC, vendors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, UAE regulations and international codes.
• Drive value‑engineering, optimization initiatives and resolve major technical issues.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design and constructability reviews and support procurement activities.
• Manage stakeholder communications, engineering change requests and design clarifications.
• Implement quality assurance/control procedures, monitor KPIs and capture lessons learned.
• Identify engineering risks, develop mitigation plans and manage MOC processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering teams, allocating resources to meet project priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or related engineering discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• 15‑20 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, with 8‑10 years in engineering management roles.
• Extensive experience on ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or similar international offshore projects.
• Proven track record in EPC/EPCM execution of offshore platforms, subsea facilities, pipelines and brownfield projects.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AVEVA Engineering, SmartPlant SP3D, E3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Project scheduling using Primavera P6 and document management with Aconex/EDMS.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC Offshore engineering standards, API, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, IEC, ISO and related international codes.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, risk assessment and functional safety processes.
