Engineering Manager – Projects Department

About the role

Manage and lead project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from assessment and selection through definition, execution, commissioning and handover. Ensure delivery of engineering scope within approved safety, quality, schedule, cost and technical requirements while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, PMC, licensors, EPC contractors and ADNOC Group companies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project engineering activities across all phases and align them with ADNOC strategies and project requirements.
• Participate in tender development, technical evaluation and bid assessment for engineering consultants, PMC, licensors and EPC contractors.
• Develop Statements of Requirement, engineering strategies and implementation plans to support effective execution.
• Review contractor engineering strategies, specifications, construction methodologies and technical submissions for compliance.
• Manage technical specialists during engineering, construction, commissioning and start‑up, providing guidance on technical issues.
• Ensure implementation of engineering standards, codes, specifications and best industry practices.
• Monitor engineering progress of licensors, engineering contractors and EPC contractors, identifying bottlenecks and driving corrective actions.
• Promote fit‑for‑purpose, value‑adding and cost‑effective engineering solutions and adoption of state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
• Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and oversee handover activities.
