Engineering Technician – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Engineering Technician will report to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre. This technical, operational role ensures the hotel's equipment and machinery operate safely and efficiently, directly supporting guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑discipline general maintenance across guestrooms, meeting rooms, public areas and engineering spaces.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting on air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and kitchen equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty components promptly, estimating downtime and minimizing service interruptions.
• Maintain accurate equipment documentation, including modifications and service records.
• Install and service audio/visual equipment and lighting systems.

Required profile

• Accredited mechanical engineering qualification.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Excellent grooming standards appropriate for a luxury hotel environment.
• Previous experience in a similar hotel engineering or maintenance role.
