About the role
The Arbor School is looking for a highly motivated English Teacher to join its secondary school department from August 2027. The role involves delivering English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, supporting the school’s ecological and sustainability vision while driving outstanding student outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to students in KS3, KS4 and KS5, covering GCSE/iGCSE and A Level or IB curricula.
- Collaborate with the English department to develop and map the curriculum, moderate assessments, and ensure consistency across the secondary school.
Required profile
- Native‑level proficiency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in English (or related) with a PGCE and QTS or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
- Proven record of outstanding GCSE and/or A Level results.
- Ability to create a caring, nurturing classroom environment.
