Executive Director - Projects

About the role

The Executive Director – Projects will provide strategic leadership for Wasael Property Management’s project portfolio, ensuring that all initiatives are planned, executed and delivered in line with business objectives, budgets, timelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and governance frameworks for all assigned projects and portfolios.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and design through execution, completion and handover.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, delays and commercial issues, and implement mitigation measures.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, procurement, contracts and commercial performance at an executive level.
• Lead Project Directors, Project Managers, consultants, contractors and other delivery teams.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, authorities, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Review and approve major project plans, schedules, design milestones, procurement strategies, variations and change requests.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, health‑and‑safety and organisational policies.
• Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Significant senior leadership experience managing large‑scale, complex projects in development, construction, real estate or infrastructure.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple multidisciplinary project teams.

• PRINCE2 certification or equivalent
