Executive Manager – Squad Cyber Technical Lead

About the role

The Executive Manager will lead a cybersecurity squad responsible for strengthening application security, AI governance, continuous security validation and compliance evidence within a major banking environment. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role combines strategic direction with hands‑on technical oversight to translate security policies into practical controls and measurable service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Set technical direction and delivery priorities for application security, AI governance, continuous security validation and compliance‑trail workstreams.
• Convert approved second‑line policies into operational controls, service‑level outcomes and repeatable delivery practices.
• Maintain readiness for supervisory review, ensuring evidence quality, control traceability and timely remediation of gaps.
• Own the architecture, performance and lifecycle of the consolidated cybersecurity tooling environment, including SonarQube.
• Collaborate with second‑line risk stakeholders and the AI Centre of Excellence to provide clear prioritisation, governance and technical leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cybersecurity or DevSecOps teams in a regulated financial services setting.
• Strong understanding of application security, cloud security and AI/LLM security governance.
• Ability to translate security policies into actionable controls and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially with risk and compliance functions.
