Expeditor

About the role

The Expeditor is responsible for accelerating the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services required for company operations. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, the role guarantees that purchase orders move smoothly from release to final receipt.

Key responsibilities

• Expedite purchase orders to meet operational timelines and PO terms.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers to track order progress, shipment readiness, and on‑time delivery.
• Identify potential delays, develop recovery plans, and escalate issues according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time records of all PO and shipment milestones in the ERP/SAP system.
• Act as the primary liaison between suppliers, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Engineering, Finance, and end users.
• Oversee transportation planning and freight movements (air, sea, land) and work with freight forwarders to ensure cost‑effective deliveries.
• Manage warehouse receiving activities, handle shipment exceptions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support business continuity through shift coverage, leave replacement, and emergency response.
• Facilitate timely document submission and resolve payment, contractual, and material‑related issues.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in procurement, logistics, or supply‑chain environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to maintain precise data records.
