Expert – Clinical Research Governance & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Expert in Clinical Research Governance & Compliance to strengthen the quality, ethics and regulatory oversight of our clinical research programmes. The role will be based in Dubai and will support the National Reference Laboratories Department in ensuring that all studies meet UAE and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain governance frameworks, policies, SOPs and compliance controls for clinical research.
• Ensure alignment with UAE regulations and international standards such as ICH‑GCP, research ethics, data integrity and participant protection.
• Support ethics committee processes, including study reviews, approvals, monitoring, audits and inspections.
• Advise internal stakeholders and research teams on protocol compliance, informed consent, safety reporting and documentation requirements.
• Lead compliance assessments, identify risks and gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver awareness sessions and guidance on clinical research governance and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Clinical Research, Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Public Health or a related field.
• Strong experience in clinical research governance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance or research ethics.
• Sound knowledge of ICH‑GCP, clinical trial regulations, ethics review processes and inspection readiness.
• Experience working with regulatory authorities, research institutions, laboratories, hospitals or clinical trial sponsors is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management, analytical, communication and report‑writing skills.
