Export Sales Executive

About the role

You will manage and expand an existing portfolio of export customers from our Dubai office, focusing on FMCG markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. This desk‑based trading position involves handling the full commercial cycle, from pricing to payment collection, with minimal travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an inherited portfolio of importers, wholesalers, distributors and re‑exporters.
• Acquire new FMCG customers across target regions and increase gross profit.
• Set pricing by calculating landed cost and target margins.
• Prepare offers and coordinate export documentation, Letters of Credit and shipping.
• Follow up payments and manage collections, with DSO as a performance metric.
• Monitor market pricing, competitor activity and trade flows to inform sourcing decisions.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop costed business cases.
• Report on sales, gross profit and expenses.
• Build and lead a small team as the territory expands.

Required profile

• Based in the UAE.
• Minimum five years of experience in export/re‑export trading of branded FMCG in the Middle East, Africa or Asia.
• Background in a trading company, not brand‑side or retail.
• Established network of importers, wholesalers, distributors and re‑exporters.
• Hands‑on experience with Letters of Credit, export documentation, shipping coordination, payment follow‑up and trade finance.
• Strong analytical skills for costing and margin calculations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
