Fabrication Manager

About the role

Archirodon is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead its fabrication shop in Abu Dhabi, supporting EPC projects for the oil & gas sector. The role oversees structural steel, piping spools, skids and equipment supports, ensuring delivery to project specifications and ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all fabrication shop activities, including structural steel, piping spools, skids and equipment supports.
• Develop and implement fabrication schedules aligned with overall project timelines and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, welding procedures (WPS) and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning and construction teams to maintain smooth workflow.
• Oversee material control, traceability and storage to prevent shortages or delays.
• Manage subcontractors and shop supervisors, ensuring quality, safety and productivity.
• Ensure all inspection and testing requirements (NDT, dimensional checks) are completed before dispatch.
• Prepare weekly and monthly fabrication progress reports for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or diploma with extensive experience).
• 12–15 years of fabrication experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing structural steel and piping fabrication works.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS and ADNOC standards.
• Welding inspection certification (CSWIP / AWS) is an advantage.
