Family Medicine Physician – Dubai (Outpatient Primary Care)

About the role

A reputable, JCI‑accredited multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its primary‑care services and seeks a qualified Family Medicine Physician. The role is based in the outpatient department and offers the chance to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care within an integrated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare to patients of all ages, ensuring continuity and long‑term management.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, examinations and diagnostic evaluations for acute and chronic conditions.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory, thyroid and metabolic disorders following evidence‑based guidelines.
• Deliver preventive services including health screenings, immunisations, lifestyle counselling and early disease detection.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor outcomes and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, nutrition and lifestyle.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and allied health professionals and track follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience after specialist or board certification in Family Medicine.
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Family Medicine, UK CCT/MRCGP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACGP/FACRRM, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FNB/DrNB/DM/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licensing in the UAE (support provided).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
