Finance Executive (FP&A Trainee)

About the role

The Finance Executive (FP&A Trainee) will support the Financial Planning & Analysis function by preparing and circulating financial reports, managing budget and forecast processes, and delivering in‑depth financial analysis to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Reporting Manager in extracting and organizing monthly financial reports, maintaining performance records and circulating MIS reports to stakeholders.
• Take ownership of the budget and forecast submission process in SAP and BPC, handling quarterly uploads end‑to‑end and informing relevant SBU owners of final P&L figures.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for each line of business, provide actionable insights and identify over‑ or under‑spending based on a deep understanding of operations.
• Support ad‑hoc requests from business analysts and operations teams and collaborate with the wider finance team to meet group reporting requirements.

Required profile

• B.Com (completed or pursuing) or Inter CA / Inter CMA qualification.
• 0–2 years of experience, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
• Proficiency in ERP financial software, specifically SAP and BPC.
• Strong functional, analytical and communication abilities with solid MS Office skills.
