Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of Desert Islands Resort & Spa, an Anantara property in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will ensure accurate reporting, effective cost control and compliance with UAE regulations while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Supervise the finance team, maintaining efficient workflows and adherence to policies.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts and business plans.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, cash flow and operating costs, identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
• Control costs across all departments, especially Food & Beverage and Rooms.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls comply with company standards and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads and recommend actions to boost profitability.
• Oversee inventory management, stock counts and variance investigations.

Required profile

• Relevant finance or accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance management.
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a finance team.
