Finance Manager – Luxury Hotel & Resort

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of the Desert Islands Resort & Spa, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control and compliance with UAE regulations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role supports budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making for the property.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure timely, accurate accounting.
• Supervise the Finance team, maintaining efficient workflow and adherence to policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, business plans and financial projections.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, cash flow and operating costs, identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
• Control costs across all hotel departments, especially Food & Beverage and Rooms.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with company policies, accounting standards and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Manage inventory control, stock counts, consumption analysis and variance investigations.
