Financial Controller – Dubai

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead finance and administrative functions for a fast‑growing international food supply and distribution business based in Dubai. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures robust financial governance while partnering with commercial teams across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead the month‑end close process, perform variance analysis and produce financial reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis, insights and strategic planning support.
• Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE regulations while liaising with auditors.
• Produce regular cash‑flow forecasts and reports for senior stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers and reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, capitalization and depreciation schedules.
• Partner with commercial teams to deliver financial insight and support.
• Liaise with banks, external vendors and regulatory authorities.
• Manage ERP systems and financial tools to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
• Supervise administrative functions such as office operations, procurement and vendor management.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance.
• Support HR‑related processes in line with corporate policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Currently based in the UAE with prior UAE work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–8 years of finance and accounting experience.
• Background in FMCG, manufacturing or distribution sectors is highly preferred.
• Experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial reporting, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
