Fleet Engineer – Structures

About the role

The Fleet Engineer – Structures will join Etihad Airways' technical team in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Airbus Technical Fleet Manager. The role ensures compliance with CAR‑AIR‑OPS, CAR‑M and CAR‑145 regulations, maintaining the continuing airworthiness and safety of the Airbus fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Review Airbus Airworthiness Directives and mandatory Service Bulletins for the Etihad fleet and coordinate timely compliance.
• Collaborate with OEMs, MROs and internal departments to improve fleet reliability, on‑time performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop business cases for modifications and support decision‑making in the Modification Review Committee.
• Compile Engineering Orders, Special Checks and Additional Engineering Requirements for reliability and safety assessments.
• Support technical projects such as end‑of‑lease activities, EIS and modification programmes.
• Ensure regular review of TFU/FAIR advisories and promote a positive safety reporting culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent qualification for chartered engineer status).
• Minimum 3 years CAMO experience as a Fleet Engineer or 5 years in technical commercial aviation/airline engineering.
• Aircraft B1/B2 type training on A320, A350 or A380 fleet.
