Foreman – MEP Construction

About the role

The Foreman – MEP will supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction activities on‑site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules. The role supports site engineers in managing workforce productivity and maintaining effective coordination among all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily MEP construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, company procedures and project requirements.
• Enforce site safety rules, regulations and HSE standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Schedule, allocate and monitor daily tasks and workforce assignments to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Prepare daily work plans and coordinate manpower, materials, tools and equipment with Site and Project Engineers.
• Monitor work progress and workmanship quality, reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve site‑related issues, conflicts and operational challenges to minimise delays.
• Communicate site activities with subcontractors, consultants, clients and other stakeholders.
• Maintain site housekeeping and ensure organised work areas compliant with safety standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and other required documentation.
• Lead and supervise workers and tradesmen, providing on‑the‑job coaching and ensuring productivity and discipline.

Required profile

• Diploma, Technical Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Construction‑related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Experience on commercial, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects is preferred.
