Form Tutor – Key Stage 2

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Form Tutor for Key Stage 2 to join The Westminster School – Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver the curriculum, support the academic and personal development of a form group and uphold the GEMS core values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging KS2 lessons, adapting resources for diverse learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, assessments and teaching resources.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions for ESL, gifted, or low‑ability learners.
• Utilise media and classroom technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Promote student well‑being, manage behaviour and implement strategies for self‑discipline.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of progress while respecting confidentiality.
• Participate in staff meetings, appraisal processes, CPD and contribute to co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes.
• Assist in organising school events such as inter‑house competitions, concerts and prize days.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a strong commitment to teaching and learning.
• Solid subject knowledge in the relevant KS2 areas.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using educational technology and media within the classroom.
