Freelance Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a freelance accountant to join the finance team at Coca‑Cola Arena in Dubai. The role supports the arena’s financial operations, focusing on accounts payable and receivable, cash management and general finance administration. You will work independently under a freelancer agreement and must have your own visa or sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers, including raising, allocating and reconciling invoices and credit notes.
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations to ensure no outstanding balances.
• Prepare purchase orders, payment runs and customer/payment vouchers following approval processes.
• Set up and maintain accurate vendor and customer accounts.
• Conduct daily cash, cheque and bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• Process employee expense claims and respond to account queries from customers and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal financial controls and UAE regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or professional certification in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE event industry.
• Fluent English communication; Arabic is a plus.
• UAE national candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work independently under a freelance contract and hold a valid visa/sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
