Freelance Event Operations Manager – Ticketing & Security

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Event Operations Manager to lead ticketing, registration, security and traffic management for the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2027 in Dubai. The role will serve as the central liaison between internal teams, external agencies, venue operators and government authorities to ensure a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ticketing and registration workstream, coordinating with the appointed agency and optimizing the guest journey.
• Develop and manage registration workflows for VIPs, speakers, partners, media, exhibitors and general attendees, including badge production and on‑site kiosks.
• Monitor daily registration reports, resolve on‑site issues and maintain service level targets.
• Coordinate security and traffic marshal agencies, liaising with Dubai Police, RTA and venue management.
• Oversee crowd flow, access control, VIP arrivals, parking, shuttle logistics and emergency vehicle routes.
• Attend planning meetings, site visits and rehearsals, creating operational timelines and action trackers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all assigned operational workstreams and manage on‑site setup, event days and dismantling.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale events, conferences or summits.
• Strong background in ticketing, registration, security or overall event operations.
• Excellent stakeholder and project management abilities.
• Experience working with government entities and multiple vendors is preferred.
