Front of House Manager

About the role

The Front of House Manager oversees the entire Guest House operation, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. Reporting to the Soft Services Manager, the role combines leadership of reception and housekeeping teams with administrative and financial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and business managers to provide proactive support.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Reception and Housekeeping teams, maintaining high service standards and morale.
• Monitor timesheets, overtime, sickness and holiday forms in line with HR policies.
• Manage small works projects, moves and changes within the property.
• Ensure reception coverage across all shifts, including holidays and emergencies.
• Maintain the Opera guest booking system and keep the reception area presentable.
• Prepare accurate statistical reports for the Soft Services Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Proven management experience on prestigious sites.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, finance and OHSE/QA legislation.
