Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Hoxton Wealth is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain core fintech applications. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery of features across the frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers in a regulated financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack features using PHP/Laravel, Node.js and Vue.js.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs with proper versioning, validation, authentication (JWT) and error handling.
• Integrate third‑party services such as payment gateways, KYC/e‑Sign solutions, and banking rails.
• Model relational data, write efficient MySQL/PostgreSQL queries, and manage schema evolution.
• Build cloud‑native services on AWS (S3, ECS, SQS) and work with containerised workflows, Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket).
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools for coding and automation while ensuring security and production readiness.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with product, design, QA and platform teams.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in fintech or other regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to deliver complex features independently from design through deployment.
• Strong ownership of production features and a focus on reliability and scalability.
