Fund Manager – Emerging Companies & SME IPO Strategy

About the role

The Fund Manager will join the Asset Management division of an independent, multi‑strategy investment firm headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the role focuses on India‑focused SME pre‑IPO, IPO anchor and emerging‑company investments across two dedicated funds.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and execute investments in pre‑IPO and IPO anchor opportunities for Indian SMEs.
• Manage a portfolio with a target corpus of INR 400 crore, allocating 60% to unlisted companies, 20% to follow‑on investments and 20% to listed‑market opportunities.
• Collaborate with the firm’s global network of banks, merchant bankers, promoters, GPs and LPs to source and structure deals.
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct valuation updates and support exit strategies.

Required profile

• 15‑20+ years of experience in investment banking, merchant banking or private equity.
• Proven track record in SME and pre‑IPO transactions in India.
• Strong understanding of Indian capital markets and regulatory environment (SEBI).
