Gas Turbine Thermal System Engineer (Thermal SAS – Whole Engine)

About the role

PowerTech is seeking a Thermal System Design Engineer to lead gas turbine component thermal analysis, secondary air system design, and oil system development for turbojet and turbofan programs. The role combines advanced heat‑transfer expertise with project planning and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thermal analysis simulations and create thermal maps for engine components.
• Conduct steady‑state and transient thermal and secondary‑flow assessments in gas‑turbine parts.
• Size and design oil/lubrication systems, including seals, sump, bearings, and pumps.
• Develop and validate numerical and experimental methods.
• Support team members, mentor junior engineers, and provide constructive feedback.
• Review designs, generate testing guidelines, and identify project risks with mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 5‑15+ years of experience in gas‑turbine propulsion, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with commercial tools such as Ansys Workbench.
• Experience in FEA and CFD or lower‑order simulation methods.
• Knowledge of 1D flow‑network software (Flomaster, Amesim).
• Programming skills in C and Matlab/Simulink.
