About the role
As a General Accountant you will support the hotel’s accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in reporting. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, contributing to reliable financial information for management decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records in line with company policies and standards.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, journals, reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and monitor general ledger accounts.
- Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and support internal and external audits.
- Review accounts payable and receivable postings, verify invoices and assist payment runs.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support VAT filings, statutory submissions and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation, data entry accuracy and contribute to process improvements.
- Follow hotel health, safety and environmental procedures.
