General Accountant

About the role

Al Taresh Group is seeking a diligent General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and support the company’s financial integrity. The role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports within a fast‑paced, compliance‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review daily accounting transactions, allocating them to the appropriate General Ledger accounts.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and other account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle invoice posting, payment applications, collections, billing and maintain supporting documentation.
• Identify variances, missing receipts and reconciliation issues, taking appropriate follow‑up actions.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, account analyses and management reports as required.
• Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems, updating financial dashboards regularly.
• Support month‑end closing activities and ensure timely, accurate data entry.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with other departments on financial transactions, outstanding documents and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reconciliations, financial reporting).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from AED 5,000 to AED 6,000 per month.
