General Counsel – Legal Affairs Lead

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished General Counsel to head the Legal Affairs function for Sundus Consultancy and its subsidiaries across the United Arab Emirates. The role will provide strategic legal guidance on corporate, commercial, regulatory and governance matters while building a high‑performing legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a broad legal portfolio covering corporate and commercial matters, contracts, litigation, regulatory affairs, investigations, licensing and compliance.
• Oversee external counsel relationships and manage complex litigation and investigations.
• Support strategic corporate initiatives, including IPOs and capital‑market transactions.
• Develop and enforce corporate governance and legal risk‑management frameworks.
• Draft and review legislation, regulations, policies and other legal instruments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with a valid legal practice or Bar Association license.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of advising senior executives and boards on corporate governance, securities regulation and IPOs.
• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial and corporate law, SCA regulations and compliance frameworks.
