General Maintenance Worker

About the role

We are seeking a General Maintenance Worker to join Amentum’s team at Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi. The contract position focuses on maintaining and repairing a wide variety of structural components, from permanent buildings to temporary fabric shelters, to support the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair doors, roofing, flooring, foundations, gutters and surface coverings.
• Perform metal and fabric repairs, welding support, oxy/acetylene cutting and corrosion control.
• Carry out pavement painting, striping and concrete form work.
• Apply protective coatings, sealants, epoxies, glues, paints and install fencing.
• Repair interior finishes including acoustic ceiling tiles, sheetrock, drywall and interior carpentry.
• Execute masonry work (CMU, brick), tile installation and concrete forms.
• Conduct sheet‑metal tasks such as ductwork, metal patchwork and roll‑up door installation.
• Install and repair tension‑fabric systems and related tent structures.
• Undertake remodeling, refurbishment or demolition of existing facilities as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and write English; solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s licence, passport and ability to obtain US citizenship‑required facility credentials.
• Capability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the deployment duration.
