General Practitioner

About the role

M42 Health is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high‑quality primary care to patients of all ages in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and preventive health services within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary care consultations, conduct physical examinations and evaluate medical histories.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, develop treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Prescribe medications in line with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Promote preventive health through screenings, vaccinations and health education.
• Identify patients needing specialist referral and ensure continuity of care.
• Interpret laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic test results.
• Manage common medical emergencies and stabilize patients when required.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
• Adhere to infection‑prevention, patient‑safety and quality standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality‑improvement initiatives and on‑call duties.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent) and completion of an accredited internship.
• Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH General Practitioner license.
• 2‑3 years of post‑internship clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, emergency medicine or internal medicine.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient‑engagement skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care.
