General Technician – HVAC

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Technician to join our dynamic team at Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel. In this role you will be the backbone of facility operations, ensuring all equipment and systems run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, drawings, and analytical skills to identify root causes efficiently.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing urgent issues while maintaining organized documentation.
• Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved.
• Adapt to new technologies and equipment innovations, continuously expanding technical skill set.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about project status, challenges, and solutions.
