Generator Winder – Advanced Field Service

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as a Generator Winder and perform advanced field service on large turbo‑generators. You will work on stator and rotor winding repairs, troubleshoot winding‑related issues, and support testing and mechanical assembly during outages.

Key responsibilities

• Execute complex generator field service activities during installation, overhaul, repair, modification and rewind projects while following quality and safety standards.
• Perform stator and rotor winding tasks such as rewinding, brazing, insulation work, component replacement and refurbishment.
• Conduct stator rewedging, winding improvement initiatives and support generator testing by diagnosing winding problems.
• Assist in generator disassembly and reassembly, collaborating with testing engineers and mechanical teams.
• Provide technical leadership through troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, documentation and mentoring of junior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in generator winding, including stator and rotor rewinding and winding repair on large turbo‑generators.
• Strong technical knowledge of winding construction, insulation systems, brazing and repair methodologies.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within multicultural, cross‑functional field service teams.
• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and strong English communication skills.
