Global Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Data Center Segment

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Global Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for its Data Center Segment in Dubai. The role serves as the senior technical authority for mechanical and thermal infrastructure across Eaton’s worldwide data‑center portfolio, shaping cooling and thermal‑management strategies for hyperscale and enterprise facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end technical leadership from concept through detailed design, validation and commissioning.
• Define and standardise cooling, thermal‑management and mechanical design solutions aligned with Eaton’s global technology roadmap.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturable designs, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance.
• Develop industrialisation methodologies, processes and best practices for global engineering teams.
• Collaborate with customers, consultants, strategic partners and internal R&D to deliver resilient, energy‑efficient solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical and thermal system design for data‑center environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary engineering projects on a global scale.
• Strong understanding of cooling technologies, thermal‑management strategies and DFM principles.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
