Grade 5 Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

Dubai American Academy (DAA) is seeking an enthusiastic Grade 5 Teacher to join its award‑winning American curriculum team from August 2026. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity, foster creativity and ensure every child thrives in an inclusive, inquiry‑driven classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons for Grade 5 using DAA’s curriculum.
• Design and implement creative teaching strategies that develop critical thinking and collaboration.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of an international student body.
• Build supportive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes global citizenship.
• Participate in continuous reflection, collaboration and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (Elementary/Primary) or equivalent.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or teaching licence).
• Proven experience teaching elementary students, preferably in an American or IB curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry‑based and developmentally responsive learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative practice.
