Group Manager - Legal Maternity Cover

About the role

This 6‑month maternity cover position supports DP World Digital Technology and SeaRates FZE with commercially focused legal advice. You will act as the primary legal liaison, ensuring compliance across technology, intellectual property, data and e‑commerce matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reliable, user‑friendly legal support to the Digital Technology team and SeaRates FZE.
• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including IT, IP, data protection and e‑commerce contracts.
• Offer clear, commercially‑oriented recommendations on contract issues and escalate non‑standard clauses.
• Liaise between commercial stakeholders and the Group Director – Legal, delivering regular reports to senior leadership and finance teams.
• Promote DP World’s principles, values and code of conduct in all interactions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited university and qualification to practice law.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience in an internationally recognised law firm or multinational corporation.
• Preferable experience working in the Middle East region.

Required skills

• Strong interest in information technology, intellectual property, data and e‑commerce legal matters.
• Commercial awareness and ability to understand diverse international legal and cultural practices.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and negotiation abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficient English drafting capability.
• Knowledge of English/common law and UAE law is preferred.
