Head Hostess – Dubai

About the role

The Head Hostess leads the front‑of‑house operations for Akira Back at W Hotels in Dubai, ensuring smooth dining experiences for guests. This full‑time role combines guest service, seating management, and coordination with the restaurant team.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones, take dining reservations and enter guest information into the reservation system.
• Maintain the wait list, provide accurate wait times and manage seating using the station rotation chart.
• Organise seating for large parties and guests with special needs.
• Greet guests, escort them to clean tables, set menus, and ensure proper place settings.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, safety and service flow throughout the shift.
• Communicate with guests and staff to address needs and support teamwork.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant front‑of‑house experience.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional demeanor, confidentiality and reliability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a reservation system.
