About the role

As Head Hostess at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, you will lead the reception and reservations team in a luxury 5‑star hotel, ensuring seamless guest experiences and maximizing revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of reservations and reception shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Drive revenue opportunities and consistently exceed guest expectations.
• Develop, motivate and manage a high‑performing team, setting clear goals and performance standards.
• Conduct on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job training for reception staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and composure on the floor at all times.
• Support menu implementation timetables and timely administration of correspondence.
• Schedule employees according to business levels to maximise productivity and control payroll costs.
• Identify recruitment needs, participate in selection processes and maintain organized filing systems.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to plan training calendars and deliver appraisal processes.
• Ensure all team members understand and sign their job descriptions and adhere to departmental standards.
• Facilitate shift handovers, briefings and liaison with kitchen and restaurant to deliver seamless service.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with colleagues and management.
• Proactive attitude towards recruitment, training and performance management.
• Attention to detail in maintaining standards of presentation and service.
• Ability to analyse customer service requests and resolve issues within 24 hours.
