Head of Communications

About the role

A leading e‑commerce organization in the UAE is looking for a Head of Communications to shape and execute its overall communications strategy. This full‑time, on‑site position in Dubai will work closely with senior leadership to ensure consistent, effective messaging across all internal and external channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communications plans that align with business objectives.
• Oversee creation, approval, and distribution of press releases, key announcements, and executive talking points.
• Manage relationships with media outlets and external stakeholders, including crisis communication.
• Direct internal communications initiatives to boost employee engagement and ensure message alignment across departments.
• Monitor communication performance, analyse results, and refine strategies to improve engagement and impact.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic communications, messaging, and campaign management.
• Strong experience drafting press releases and conducting media outreach.
• Proven ability to design and lead internal communications programs.
• Solid background in corporate communications, reputation management, and executive communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Senior communications or PR leadership experience, preferably in a complex or multinational environment.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dubai and collaborate with cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
