Head of Engineering

About the role

The Head of Engineering will establish and lead the engineering function for the System Integration Division, turning it into a core competitive advantage. This senior position provides strategic and technical leadership across design, protection, automation, panel engineering, and system architecture to deliver reliable, cost‑effective, and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the division’s engineering strategy, design philosophy, and technical governance framework.
• Set company standards for drawings, documentation, SLDs, wiring diagrams, design templates, and BOM structures.
• Act as final technical approval authority for all engineering deliverables and manage technical risk aligned with profitability targets.
• Lead high‑level technical engagement with clients, consultants, utilities, and OEM partners.
• Develop and execute a technology roadmap covering modern substation automation, IEC 61850, smart MCCs, and digitalisation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership during bids, tenders and proposals, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Oversee project engineering to guarantee on‑time, on‑budget delivery with zero major deviations.
• Build and lead a high‑performing engineering organization, defining competency frameworks, recruitment, mentoring and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven senior engineering leadership experience in power or industrial system integration.
• Strong track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent stakeholder management with clients, consultants, utilities and major OEMs.
• Demonstrated ability to drive standardisation, technology adoption and engineering excellence.
