Head of Inclusion

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Inclusion to lead our SEND and ELL programmes at GEMS Founders School Al Mizhar. The role combines strategic oversight, team leadership and close collaboration with families and external partners to ensure high‑quality support for all learners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee teaching and support for SEND students across the school.
• Lead the Inclusion, ELL and Learning Support Assistant (LSA) teams.
• Monitor and report on progress of SEND students.
• Liaise with parents, external therapists and service providers.
• Manage the departmental budget.
• Maintain the Inclusion register and related documentation.
• Collaborate with admissions and senior leadership to assess prospective students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with additional SEND/leadership qualification (e.g., SENCO).
• Proven experience leading a team and driving change in an educational setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of SEND and ELL teaching practices.
