Head of Market Surveillance

About the role

Bybit is seeking a Head of Market Surveillance to build and lead its trading risk control function across spot, derivatives, copy‑trading and institutional products. The role will own the end‑to‑end framework that protects the platform and users from market manipulation, abnormal trading behavior and systemic risk.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the market surveillance architecture, including policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term roadmaps for surveillance capabilities aligned with business growth and regulatory evolution.
• Own surveillance coverage across Spot, Futures, Options, Copy Trading and Institutional/OTC products, detecting manipulation such as wash trading, spoofing, pump‑and‑dump, front‑running and whale‑concentration risks.
• Define alert thresholds, escalation protocols and enforcement actions (warnings, trading restrictions, liquidation safeguards).
• Build and continuously refine quantitative detection models and rule engines for real‑time intervention.
• Lead cross‑functional investigations of suspicious activity and report findings to senior management and regulators.
