Head of Patient Access – Section Lead

About the role

Lead and oversee patient access operations in Dubai, ensuring efficient registration, scheduling, admissions, insurance verification and front‑desk services while maintaining data accuracy and a high standard of patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage patient access operations across healthcare facilities.
• Develop, monitor and improve policies, procedures and workflows for registration and admissions.
• Ensure accurate capture of patient demographic, medical and insurance information.
• Oversee insurance verification, authorization processes and payment collection.
• Monitor KPIs such as registration accuracy, waiting times, patient satisfaction and service efficiency.
• Coordinate with clinical, finance, insurance and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Manage staffing, workload distribution, performance coaching and staff development.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare operational reports, performance metrics and improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and patient safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing patient access/front‑desk operations, preferably in a large hospital or healthcare system.
• Experience handling 24/7 front‑desk operations in a high‑pressure environment.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
