Head of Section – Facility Management

About the role

The Head of Section – Facility Management is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all healthcare facility systems. This senior position leads the maintenance strategy, oversees budgets, and guarantees compliance with local regulations and international accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and infrastructure systems to support continuous patient care.
• Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
• Prepare technical specifications for tenders, supervise contractors, review reports, and manage payments.
• Maintain asset registers, lifecycle data, and create replacement and optimization plans.
• Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, lead emergency response, and ensure rapid restoration of critical systems.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks, and participate in technical committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Master’s degree in Facility Management, Energy or Safety preferred.
• 7–8 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
