Heavy Equipment Workshop Foreman

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Workshop Foreman to lead our workshop team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and high‑quality maintenance of earth‑moving machinery while coordinating resources and manpower.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily workshop activities, allocating mechanics, electricians, welders and helpers.
• Monitor job progress, ensure on‑time completion and communicate machine availability to site teams.
• Provide hands‑on technical support, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults, and guide repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Enforce HSE procedures, conduct toolbox talks, manage PPE, LOTO and lifting plans, and maintain a clean workshop environment.
• Inspect completed work, verify torque settings, cleanliness and assembly quality before releasing equipment.
• Complete job cards, checklists and reports accurately, recording parts usage and labour hours.
• Maintain tools and lifting equipment, reporting any missing or damaged items.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years supervising a heavy‑equipment workshop.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and undercarriage systems, and power‑train components.
• Ability to read schematics and service manuals and use diagnostic software.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit to lift heavy components and work in varied environments.
