Heavy Vehicle Operator (Lifting Equipment)

About the role

The Heavy Vehicle Operator is responsible for driving heavy‑duty road tankers from the Sharjah depot to customer sites, filling stations and other depots. The role ensures safe and timely delivery of products while maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the tanker before loading, confirming maintenance checks, hose and coupling availability, and an empty product compartment.
• Ensure fuel tanks are full, seal the vehicle, and obtain loading instructions from the Dispatch Supervisor.
• Drive the tanker to designated customer or depot locations according to dispatch schedules.
• Assist the supply operator with connection/disconnection of hoses and loading at the gantry.
• Collect and hand over Product Delivery Notes for customer signatures and return them to dispatch staff.
• Connect and disconnect hoses at customer sites, confirming the receiving party is present.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, tires, lights, cleanliness) and report any defects.
• Handle vehicle servicing, cleaning, and accident or breakdown procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment and provide outstanding customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education.
• At least 3 years of experience driving heavy‑duty road tankers.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, vehicle inspection procedures, and proper handling of lifting equipment.
• Ability to follow dispatch instructions and complete required paperwork accurately.
