High‑Risk Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant

About the role

The role involves providing specialist care for high‑risk pregnancies within SEHA’s leading hospitals in Abu Dhabi. You will manage complex maternal and fetal conditions, ensuring safe outcomes from antenatal through postnatal periods.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert clinical management for high‑risk obstetric cases, including maternal complications and fetal anomalies.
• Perform and interpret advanced prenatal imaging and diagnostic procedures such as fetal ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling.
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with neonatology, genetics, radiology and other specialties.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetrics teams and supervise junior medical staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and maintain accurate medical records.
• Engage in academic teaching, research activities and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Valid DOH license (or equivalent such as CCT UK, American Board, German Board) and eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 8–10 years post‑specialization experience, with extensive exposure to high‑risk obstetrics.
• Previous experience within SEHA or GCC healthcare systems is an advantage.
